I’m taking part of #classicsathon!

Today on Instagram I came across a post about something called the #classicsathon and I was immediately intrigued. I love reading, especially the classics, so taking part in this was a no brainer.

Lucythereader on Instagram has started this ‘readathon’ where the aim is to read at least one classic book during the month of August. The idea is to have fun reading and anyone can take part. Check out her original post here.

You can read any classic book you like. It doesn’t even have to be a novel; you can read a play, some poetry or something non-fiction if you want to.

I’ve decided that I’m going to read The War of The Worlds by H.G Wells. I’ve never read this one, which is surprising because the Tom Cruise film is one of my favourites. It’s not a very long book so I should be able to start reading another one before the month is up.

Lucythereader is going to be hosting a classic ‘readathon’ on different media platforms so definitely go give her a follow!

If you decide you want to have a go then share what book(s) you’re reading on Instagram and tag me (@brennaahenryy) and Lucy in the picture and use the hashtag #classicsathon so I can check out what you’re reading and maybe get so inspiration.

Happy reading.
